Growing up in a Hispanic household, we loved to have fiestas! It felt like we would find an excuse to celebrate anything and everthing just so we can all get together. You know those memes of seeing children asleep in chairs or underneath the tables while the adults were partying? That was us! This is where I learned to love to entertain at home! As a first generation Latina, I am living my dream in owning my own party boutique.
My career in retail began when I was a candy striper at the New England Baptist Hospital in Boston. I would be assigned different tasks in the hospital, but my absolute favorite was pushing a cart filled with toiletries, magazines, and candy, offering patients goods to buy. The smile on their faces would light up with getting a knock on the door and even if they didn’t buy anything, we would have great conversations! I then got a job at their gift shop and loved helping visitors pick up a gift for their loved one.
After several years looking in different places to open up a retail shop, the stars finally aligned and we opened up my dream store in November of 2018 in Natick Center on Mile 10 of the Boston Marathon Route. (Learn why this location means so much to us here.) It’s hard to describe all the emotions and feelings that I had and still get. My support team and customers have been the best and Natick welcomed us with open arms. I am truly living my best life right now, living my dream!
